Who we are
BYHMD LTD runs this website and sources, inspects and presents the vehicles on it from Cambridge, UK. We are the data controller for the information described here. The cars themselves are sold by REV MOTORS LTD, and where you go on to buy one your details are shared with them so the sale can be completed.

What we collect
Only what you give us. There is no tracking on this website.
- When you enquire about a car — your name, email address, telephone number if you give one, the vehicle you asked about and anything you write in the message.
- When you ask us to source a car — the make, model, year, budget and specification you are looking for, alongside your contact details.
- When you offer us a car — its make, model, year, mileage, condition, any photographs you upload, and the price you are hoping for.
- When you buy a car — the information needed to complete a sale, including payment records. We do not see or store your full card details; a payment provider handles those.
- Technical information — our host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, to serve pages and to protect the site from abuse.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To answer you. Legitimate interests — you asked us a question and it would be no use to either of us if we could not reply.
- To sell you a car, or buy yours. Performance of a contract, and the steps you take before entering one.
- To meet obligations that come with the trade — tax records, vehicle registration, and the checks required when a vehicle is imported. Legal obligation.
- To tell you when a car lands, if you have asked us to. Consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. It reaches these companies only because they run the systems we use:
- REV Motors Ltd — Sells the vehicles listed here, so your details are shared with them to complete a purchase. Processed in the United Kingdom.
- Vercel — Hosts this website and serves its pages. Processed in the European Union.
- Supabase — Stores vehicle records and the enquiries submitted through this site. Processed in the European Union.
- Google (Workspace) — Carries email sent to and from hello@byhmd.com. Processed in the European Union and United States.
- Meta (WhatsApp) — Carries messages if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp. Processed in the United States.
Where information is processed outside the UK, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
We also share what we must with government bodies where the law requires it — the DVLA when a vehicle is registered, and HMRC for tax and import duty.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead anywhere — up to two years, so we recognise you if you come back, then deleted.
- Records of a sale or purchase — six years after the end of the tax year in which it happened, which is the period HMRC requires.
- Photographs you send us of your car — deleted with the enquiry, unless we bought the car, in which case they form part of its record.
Your rights
Over your own information you have the right to:
- Ask what we hold, and get a copy of it
- Have anything wrong corrected
- Have it deleted, where we have no obligation to keep it
- Ask us to restrict what we do with it, or object to it
- Receive it in a portable form, or have it sent to someone else
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is what we relied on
Write to hello@byhmd.com and we will answer within one month.
Complaining
If you think we have handled your information badly, tell us first — it is usually the quickest way to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
